Sketch (2020)

Flesh and anger. Im trying to be less elaborate sometimes, not everything needs to be a project. Sometimes just letting a feeling and a visual flow out of your hands is more than good enough

Sketch (2020)

Happy new year

I just reconstructed a beaver skeleton using the best technology science can afford in 1992, it is the most accurate reconstruction of the beaver to date and I'm so honored to have taken part in a project that lets the audience of today experience what it was truly like to be alive in 2020.

(Im v fucking drunk on paleontology memes and legit did a 90s style painting of this terrible joke it took me so fucking long and i took it so seriously wow why does this look so well made)

Been having some recurring thoughts when i wake up and i would like it to stop. And I've been trying to be bolder with my art

3 hour sketch! it was never intended to go anywhere but I kept at it for a while and kinda enjoyed the results. I might come back to it and keep painting eventually, who knows.

It's been a ridiculous and intense October for me and I've had no time to make any new art, but it's not like me to not post anything on my birthday month (I do a challenge every year and have succeeded the last two!) so here's something seasonal to make up for my absence. I always come back to classic body horror when I want to unwind with my art! #illustration #blackartist #bodyhorror #horrorart
Pink Elephant in the Room, 2020

Ok it's not pink but it sounds better than purple. I really ran with whatever angry imagery I had in mind with this one and I enjoy how freudian and out of character it is for me. I need to let my hands do what they will with materials I'm not used to more often.

Deep Sea Mermaid, 2019
I got to thinking about what a realistic mermaid in the deep sea would look like and I swear this started as a joke but almost all my joke art ends up turning into serious art. It's a fave tho.

Getting back into posting my art publicly with this horror piece inspired on the stories of monsters children tell in the jungle-adjacent towns of my country, #venezuela, I really don’t know how to manage my presence here but i’ll be learning! I hope you love this! It’s over 30 hours of active work which is honestly pretty fast for what I used to take on a piece of half the complexity and I’m proud of that.

I dont tend to do a lot of heavy feelings in my art but I needed to make this one tangible after a year like this #art #depression
